about me

History
I received my first technical training as a Computer Automated System Technician from Cariboo Colledge in Kamloops. It is now known as Tompson Rivers University.
The training was sufficient to get me hired at the Williams Lake LORAN -C station. LORAN was a Maritime Radio Navigational system. It uses asynchronous timing to permit a LORAN receiver to provide a location within 50 feet. GPS made it obsolete.
Eventually, I was trained as a Radio Technician. Shortly after that, it was decided that my services were more highly required as a Desktop Computer Support Tech. I was given a number of Microsoft courses and transferred to the Coast Guard Base in Victoria.
In 2012, I retired. After several years, I found I wasn't ready for retirement, and so I returned to school. I first explored Human Resources as a possible vocation. I spent ten years as a Union Stewart and thought HR might be a good fit. It wasn't. Next, I tried Marketing. I found the challenge and the creativity required envigorating.
Recently, I've been working for Dr. Bruce Hiebert on a project he calls Adaptive Management as part of Hiebert Organizational Intelligence.
